In a medium oval design, and set with a unique piece of Derbyshire Blue John and Malachite. This pendant is available on its own or with an 18" or 20" strong 9ct yellow gold curb chain. Blue John stone is a rare, semiprecious mineral, fluorite, found at only one location in the world. This is at Treak Cliff Cavern which is at the western end of Hope Valley near Castleton in Derbyshire, England. The name Blue John derives from the French Bleu Jaune, meaning Blue John. It was first discovered by miners exploring the cavern for lead.
Malachite is a green copper carbonate mineral. This beautiful green stone has a patterned surface, and is considered to have healing properties, Malachite is a stone of transformation and positive change.
