We have for sale a simply stunning 9ct gold Blue John Double sided pendant. It has been beautifully hand crafted in Sheffield, England, and features a large Hallmark from the Sheffield Assay Office. In a medium hexaganol design, and set with a beautiful unique piece of Derbyshire Blue John on one side and white Mother of Pearl on the other. This pendant is available on its own or with an 18" or 20" strong 9ct yellow gold curb chain. Click options to choose.
Blue John stone is a rare, semiprecious mineral, fluorite, found at only one location in the world. This is at Treak Cliff Cavern which is at the western end of Hope Valley near Castleton in Derbyshire, England. The name Blue John derives from the French Bleu Jaune, meaning Blue John. It was first discovered by miners exploring the cavern for lead.
Mother of pearl is considered to have healing properties of the sea. This stone is thought to soothe the mind, help with fears, and encourages clarity when making decisions. Mother of pearl is considered to be a balancing stone, and is thought to bring luck.
