Heuer Easy Rider Chronograph Jacky Ickx Watch
We have for sale a rare vintage pre-owned men's genuine Heuer mechanical wristwatch from the Easy Rider collection.
Heuer developed the Easy Rider collection in the 1970's as a more economically priced wristwatch that would appeal to younger customers, and to compete with the new quartz watches being produced in Japan. Heuer took inspiration from the iconic laid back hippie era movie, Easy Rider. Their connection to the Formula 1 Ferrari racing team, with famous driver Jacky Ickx, proved to be a valuable asset in marketing these new chronograph watches.
With its oval chromium plated case and striking red dial detail, this cool watch oozes 70,s cool. It is in great condition. The Tropic Sport black strap is in perfect condition.
The chronograph has a single register that records up to 15 minutes, along with a running seconds indicator at the bottom of the dial. The chronograph operation is different from all other Heuer models, with the bottom pusher used to start and stop the chronograph, and the top pusher used to reset the chronograph (to zero). Also different from most other two-button chronographs, there is no “time in / time out” operation; as soon as the chronograph is stopped, it can be reset to zero, but cannot be restarted from its stopped position.
This watch has not been serviced, but is keeping good time. However, it does not like being over wound, but still requires winding every 6-8 hours. We cannot offer any warranty on the movement.
This watch will be supplied in an H&H watch presentation box.

We take great care to ensure all items are packed safely and securely to ensure that your new purchase arrives in perfect condition. All watches will be fully tested and set to the correct time prior to dispatch.
All orders placed Monday - Friday before 3pm are dispatched the same day. Orders received after 3pm will be dispatched the next working day.
Orders placed Friday (after 3pm), Saturday or Sunday will be dispatched the following Monday (Unless on a Bank Holiday when orders are dispatched the next day, on Tuesday). Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a dispatch confirmation email which will include your tracking reference number. Use this number to track your item right to your doorstep.
All Bespoke wedding ring and jewellery orders are dispatched 3-4 weeks from the order date.
If, for any reason, your order is returned to us (e.g., incorrect address), then Hollins and Hollinshead Ltd will inform you immediately via email or phone call when the item is received. You will be given a choice as to whether the item is sent out again, or a refund is processed. Please note, for items that are undelivered through fault of the customer (e.g., incorrect address), Hollins and Hollinshead Ltd reserve the right to deduct our outwardly shipping fees from the refund total.
