Derbyshire Blue John and Opalique 9ct Yellow Gold Oval Pendant
We have for sale a beautiful 9ct gold Blue John double sided pendant. It has been beautifully hand crafted in Sheffield, England. In a small oval design, and set with a unique piece of Derbyshire Blue John on one side and Opalique on the other. A large Hallmark is featured on the side from the Sheffiels Assay Office with date letter X. This pendant comes complete with a 9ct yellow gold 20" trace chain.
Blue John stone is a rare, semiprecious mineral, fluorite, found at only one location in the world. This is at Treak Cliff Cavern which is at the western end of Hope Valley near Castleton in Derbyshire, England. The name Blue John derives from the French Bleu Jaune, meaning Blue John. It was first discovered by miners exploring the cavern for lead.
Opalique is produced by setting small shards of Opal in to resin to produce a beautiful sparkling stone with many varied colours.

You will be given a choice as to whether the item is sent out again, or a refund is processed.
