Vertex Revue Mid Size 9ct Gold Mechanical Wristwatch
We have for sale a classic vintage pre owned mid size mechanical wristwatch from the Vertex Revue watch brand. The Vertex brand was founded by Claude Lyons in England in 1916, and used quality Swiss movements. The brand later became part of the "Dirty Dozen" of watch brands that supplied the war office during world war II.
A beautiful understated timepiece, with classic lines and elegant proportions. This small case size was very popular in this era, being worn by both mend and women. The silver dial is in excellent condition and is blemish free with bright gold colour arabic numerals, batons and hands. Featuring a seperate subsidiary dial for the seconds. The 9ct gold polished case is also in excellent condition with the domed plexi glass having some minor age related marks.
This watch was given as a good service reward by Lever Brothers to Charles Burns in 1962 and has been engraved on the plain poilished case back to show these details. The inside of the case back features a Birmingham Assay Office Hallmark with date letter N, for 1962.
We have fitted a quality new black fully stitched leather strap with guilt buckle.
An original Vertex watch case is also present, that has a small amount of damage to the outer covering.
We have tested the movement for accuracy and is performing as it should. Will come with 6 months H&H warranty and Hollins and Hollinshead watch presentation box.

All orders placed Monday - Friday before 3pm are dispatched the same day. Orders received after 3pm will be dispatched the next working day.
Orders placed Friday (after 3pm), Saturday or Sunday will be dispatched the following Monday (Unless on a Bank Holiday when orders are dispatched the next day, on Tuesday). Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a dispatch confirmation email which will include your tracking reference number. Use this number to track your item right to your doorstep.
If, for any reason, your order is returned to us (e.g., incorrect address), then Hollins and Hollinshead Ltd will inform you immediately via email or phone call when the item is received. You will be given a choice as to whether the item is sent out again, or a refund is processed. Please note, for items that are undelivered through fault of the customer (e.g., incorrect address), Hollins and Hollinshead Ltd reserve the right to deduct our outwardly shipping fees from the refund total.
